Canon 300D, Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro, 1/16 sec, f/16. Continuing with the utensils theme, these are plastic forks resting on a mirror.

These are transparent plastic spoons and colored water resting on top of a light box. Canon 300D, Tamron 90mm-f/2.8 macro lens, 1/8 secs at f/16. Very slight levels adjustments in photoshop were done on the pools of water to bring out their color.

Canon 300D, Tamron 90mm-f/2.8 macro lens, 1/125 sec at f/4. Plastic spoons in a glass placed on top of a light source and colored paper. It might be easier to recognize the arrangement in this version.

Here's another old picture, taken during a trip to San Diego in November. It's been a very busy week, and unfortunately, there hasn't been enough time left over for photography.

This is a crop of the original posted image. The original post can be seen here. The radial blur is from zooming the lens with the shutter open.

This reflection image comes from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Visual Field also took a reflection shot of the bulding on the left, which he spotted in a puddle of water. I have to admit, I'm feeling some picture envy right now, because I like his result better.

I've kind of been in a creative rut, so bear with me for another glass shot. I wanted to do something with these colors and shapes, which kind of remind me of tulips (in a rather abstract way). Oh, how I miss spring! Also, because stuart complained that there was no actual wine in my "study in scarlet" shot, I poured some vouvray in this glass. :)

This was my entry for this week's lensday challenge, "blue." It's a 0.8 sec, f/11 exposure of an indoor merry-go-round, taken with my Christmas trophy, a new Konica Minolta Dimage A200 :). This won't replace my Digital Rebel, but I'm loving it as a small, versatile, and portable fixed-lens camera that I can carry with me everywhere. One of my new year resolutions is to take more pictures, and this should surely help. I'm not quite obsessed enough to tote my Rebel and its lenses with me everywhere I go.

Reflecting on 2004
As the new year dawns, I'm following luminouslens' example and have looked back at all my posts to pick out a handful of personal favorites. I'd love to have your opinion on which of these is my best photo, and which one I should enter in PhotoFriday's "Best of 2004" challenge. (I can't enter "Golden" and "Shirts" because I've already entered these in past challenges.) If there are any other photos on the blog you think are better than the ones I've picked here, I'd appreciate knowing this as well.
Also, I'm following ViSuaLLyMiNDeD's example of seeking more general comments on my photography with the aim of taking better pictures in 2005. Are there aspects of my photography that you think are underdeveloped? (No pun intended.) I'd be interested in knowing what aspects of my approach you think work well and what aspects I should strive to improve.
And finally, I'd like to thank all the visitors who have taken the time to give me feedback on my photos. I've appreciated every comment.
