I'm so confused. Is that butterly transparent?? Or does it just have green in its wings that correspond to the background?

The colors in the butterfly are remarkable. Are they real?

Yep, the butterfly's colors are completely real. The green color in the wings just happens to look similar to the background.
There were many exotic butterflies at this exhibit with even more vivid colors and patterns. I wish I had more photos to show but I had a hard time getting sharp shots of the fluttery critters.

Awesome! That's a really cool effect; I had to look again and read the comments to realize that there weren't gaping holes in its wings.

Wow, it almost looks like the butterfly has transparent spots in it's wings. Amazing. Nice macro photo!
