Historically, cats have enjoyed a special status as the protectors of Venice against rats and plague. In Venice itself, we did not see as many strays as I was lead to expect. In Burano, however, there was an ample supply.

Very cool! The pastel colors and simple composition really make the cat stand out. And she posed wonderfully for you!
