Time

sundial

Canon 5D, Tamron 90mm macro lens, f/9. I spent a pleasant afternoon in D.C. today. It was so refreshing to take outdoor pictures again, after shooting mostly studio photos during the winter. I do enjoy setting up little scenes in the house, but nothing beats finding novel things to shoot outside.

I believe you've captured the elegance of this simple timepiece in quite a timeless way - well composed, and the toning just enhances the image further.

I like how the DOF and shadows conspire in highlighting the carvings in front, and toning them behind. The lines are very elegant.

I totally love this picture! It's gorgeous, I love the focusing and contrasting color. May I save it to my picture file?
