Well, I don't drink coffee and I don't like cats much, but I prefer the first one by a mile. Love the composition.

damn!!! the coffee cup is simply brilliant. good enough for an advertisment. Im not at all a cat person so I wont say anything about the other shot... ;-)

the saucer even forms the letter "c". the coffee photo is simple, but amazing.

The cat is cute, but the coffee cup photo is really great in its geometrical simplicity. I like the way you preserved the shades of white in the cup and saucer, despite the high contrast with the background and coffee. Perfect exposure.

I love the minimalism of that coffee shot. It's really gorgeous -- the exposure is perfect. I happen to love cats and love the second shot as well ;-)

Love the first one! The composition is perfect, the diagonal symmetry is amazing. I also really like how the image is mainly black and white (or at least very light) - not many midtones there. Great shot!
