Crossing the Dames Point Bridge

damespoint.jpg

Another image from my trip to Jacksonville, FL.

I have a bit of news to share, which is that I've just signed on as a photographer with the stock agency Acclaim Images. This move will shape the direction of my photography somewhat, as I'm now exploring what kind of images will sell. I obviously have a lot to learn, and I'm finding this all really exciting!

That's awesome Claire, good luck with the stock I'm sure it'll be a great motivator, as if you needed one!

Great news.

Good luck with the stock agency.

May I ask you what % you get from them?

Congratulations!! I find blogging a motivator to go out and take pictures. Signing up with a stock agency must be an even bigger one. Great news!!
Good luck!!

By the way the picture of the bridge is gorgeous!! Even though you shot it while driving you still managed to get the composition just right. It all works so well - the bridge "frame" (sorry about my english), the suspension lines, the colours, the blur... Love it.

Hey, I recognize this place! When we cross this bridge, the kids always start their stopwatches. Hey Dad, you set a new record!
Did you know... there is a park under this bridge where you can see the bridge from the other side. Its on the list of places to explore with a camera. Incedentally, this park is the only place we've actually seen manatees in the wild.
Good shot. Thanks.

Congrats to you! Great photo for windscreen.com also.

I'm not a huge fan of these motion photos, though I agree with Greg that this is nicely framed.

DDOI had a motion shot up as well recently, and got mixed reviews. I guess some people like this kind of effect more than others. :)

Anyway, congrats on the new stock photo gig. What a great outlet for you. An excuse to take lots of pictures, and hopefully a little revenue back!

Is there a link on that site to your work specifically? (Or will there be?)

Fantastic, congrats!

Interesting repeating patterns, and the way the image is framed in the top by the dark shadow.

Good luck with the stock photography move. The motion in this photograph is excellent!

Well done on the stock agency front, I am sure you will have every success. I am also a stock photographer and have made some sales over the past year that I've been doing it seriously. So good luck! Oh - Like the picture too! :-)
