Spoon Art

These are transparent plastic spoons and colored water resting on top of a light box. Canon 300D, Tamron 90mm-f/2.8 macro lens, 1/8 secs at f/16. Very slight levels adjustments in photoshop were done on the pools of water to bring out their color.

I've noticed your utensils theme. I eagerly await your artistic take on sporks.

Cool. This hardly looks like a photograph! Great idea.

That's meant as a compliment, by the way - that it hardly looks like a photograph. :) Especially considering you didn't do much PS here.

You have such amazing creativity to continue to come up with these ideas!

I like how the spoon handles are barely visible. Very creative shot, as always! :)

They sort of look like eggs that you can see through. When I look at you picrures I see that I must be more creative. :)

I love this shot! Very similar to the style of the Apple iMac advertising a while ago.

I love that you can just about see the outline of the spoons and the colour is absolutely fantastic - great creative shot!
Just a general question. What do you think of your tamron macro lens? - do YOU feel it works well for you? I've just got my first lens today for my 300D a fixed focus one - a 50mm. I want to increase my family with a macro. :-)

I don't know many people I can say they share my interest for utensils, so it's nice to find someone. :D
Amazing shot, really. I have been thinking of ways to shoot spoons and I never thought of something like this.

I am a sucker for utentsil photos. This photo goes beyond that as something very imaginative and unique. You inspire me to go unexpected like that with every day objects

this is amazing. You should be selling large scale prints of this, wow. This is like MC Escher meets Andy Warhol. I love it!
