Need to Focus

Sometimes, I feel the most horrible sense of mental inertia. Like when I sit down to write a paper, it seems to take me ages until the thoughts start to flow and then form themselves into words fit to be printed. Lately, I've been having a particularly rough fight with the writer's block. So last night I sat myself down at my desk and told myself I would not leave until I got over it. Well, here it is, about 12 hours later, I've gotten no sleep, but the good news is that the block is gone and I've actually written something. Yay!
Now that I'm starting to get into the flow of writing again, my new resolution is: no photography and no photoblogging until I'm finished with the darn project I'm working on. Well, after this one last post anyway. Hehe.

I hate getting Commenter's Block. That's it. NO more comments until you post another Photo onto your Photoblog. Well, no more comments after I post this one last comment.

Lovely picture. Can't really explain why I like it, other than the patterns of the words. I believe it might be improved if the words were something with impact to me (like a good quote, scripture, or intriguing dialog), but looking past that- it's a pretty picture. That's enough for me.

Thanks, Mark. I took this shot on a whim yesterday, with the book that I happened to be reading. I'm more fond of it than most of the others I've posted, but I also had a hard time figuring out why, beyond liking how the DOF picked out the curved pattern of selectively focused words. It's also one of those shots that I guessed a lot of people wouldn't like. But I'm glad you liked it and commented. I love your suggestion to use text with more inspiring words, and I'll definitely do that.

Funny, I just assumed that the words were inspiring to you in some way. I saw the beginnings of the word "unpublished" and figuring you were reading some seminal work on spatial navigation and that you were so moved, you just had to photograph it.
Actually, I think I'd like this picture better if the colors were warmer. I'm not sure why. It could just be my own love/hate affairs with readings at the moment, and the blue is not exactly calming for some reason.
Yeah, it's probably just me.
Good luck with the work. I feel your pain. :)

B-b-b-but it's like free weekly admission to a museum! Where am I supposed to get my culture now?

Photoblogging can consume you as I have learned!
Be good, don't post till you get your work done.
Good luck!

Love this! So crisp. The razor-thin focal plane is amazing.
