Galvanize

This scene also comes from the Hampden Village neighborhood in Baltimore. And yes, it was purely luck that this sleek, silver, retro-yet-modern beetle parked itself squarely in front of a vintage store called "Galvanize." This sure makes up for all those times I wanted to take a picture of a building and found some ugly car in my way.

Great shot. I really like the composition and good that you have chosen b&w for this one.

That is cool! How lucky for you that the car was parked right there! The lamppost also provides a great vertical contrast to the rest of the horizontals.
I think black and white works perfectly on this shot. This is really nice.

This is so neat I'm gonna use it as my wallpaper. Beautiful as usual :)

So many lines! It is always nice to be reminded of the geometric nature of the world. What really work well here is the B/W with the shiny paint of the beetle: it gives the whole photo a strong post-modern feel.

Neon lights in the store window...wow!
Reminds me of the VW print ad campaign from
when I was in my single digits.
Picture a VW bug in your driveway
with copy text of
"Volkswagen. It makes your house look bigger."
And so, this photo make your photoblog look better.

This is great. Was it purely luck that the Beetle is so well positioned?
It's a really crisp b&w conversion which works very well. I also think the cropping is perfect. Nice work!

Beautiful contrast between the old and new. I love the silky curves versus the cluttered 60's (?) style building. You captured it so much better in b&w. Great stuff!
