My 2-Dimensional World
For the past couple of days, I've been busy preparing for a conference in Minneapolis, where I'll be presenting my research. My flight leaves tomorrow, and although I can think of many places I'd rather be than Minnesota in late November, I'm actually looking forward to a little break from my normal routine. I've been feeling stressed lately about school and my future, and though I plan on bringing work with me, I'm hoping just a change in scenery will do me some good.

This scene comes from my living room. Canon Digital Rebel, Sigma 18-50mm-f 2.8 lens, f10, 1/10.

Minneapolis is actually pretty cool (uh, no pun intended). Definitely check out the Walker if you have some free time; in addition to all the other great art, the Walker has some cool Claes Oldenburg sculptures. If nothing else, staring at a giant spoon and cherry should cheer you up. Plus I would like to see a picture of this thing up here :)

So, that's a request for a photo of a giant spoon and cherry on my blog? I'll see what I can do. :) Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try to check out the Walker. Sounds better than Snoopyland at the Mall of America, I guess.

Interesting shot. I needed to short moment to realise the perspective :-) Good luck for your conference - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Me: Hey Doc, I necks hurts when I bend it this way.
Doctor: Don't bend your neck that way.
